Coaching Simplifies Improvement

Not only what to improve, but why those changes make the car faster.

What I help Improve:

  • Lap times and overall racecraft

  • Consistency over a session or full race weekend

  • Confidence behind the wheel

  • Mental approach, focus, preparation

  • Technique, habits, and performance development

Driver Evaluation: Discussion of your goals, experience level, and perceived strengths and weaknesses to establish a clear development plan

Track Analysis: Track walk, detailed breakdown of the circuit to establish reference points, breaking zones, and ideal line specific to your car

Baseline Performance Data: Establishing a benchmark lap to understand what the car is capable of and where the biggest opportunities for improvement exist.

Session-by-Session Review: After each track session we analyze onboard video and data to identify where the lap time is being lost

Prioritized Improvement Plan: We focus on the most impactful changes before overwhelming drivers with too many adjustments

Discussion of Advanced Techniques: Topics include braking technique, corner entry balance, throttle application, car rotation, and maximizing exit speed

Race Strategy: Guidance on starts, passing, tire management, and decision-making during racing

Post-Event Analysis: Reviewing the event as a whole to determine what worked, what didn’t, and focus on what’s next!

Andy S. — Past 3× North Atlantic Road Race Champion

“If you want to be faster, safer, more confident, want help setting up your car for maximum performance or want someone to help you better understand your data, Evan is a go-to guy. Just look at his personal performance as a top level professional in several different series. He has proven to be one of the quickest on any track, in any car and he can get you, as a driver, to the next level.”

Mark K. — Longtime SCCA racer — BMW E46 M3 driver

“I was able to shave off a second from my lap times at Thompson, a track I have driven for over a decade, thanks to your coaching. He is one of the best coaches in the USA!”

William H. — SRF3 National Competitor

“Evan has been a fantastic coach who has helped me improve my driving ten-fold over the past year or two we have been working together. He has excellent video and data skills and if you let him he will drive your car so you can compare laps on the same car and track. Highly recommend, 10/10.”

Mike M. — Former Trans Am TA2 Competitor

“Evan is a driver. Not only does he understand the data, but he can relate to how that data applies to the real world on track. His ability to analyze in-car video and suggest better ways to approach corners is on par with coaches with decades of experience.”

Justin E. — National Trans Am TA2 Competitor

“Evan has an amazing ability to watch both live and in-car video and turn what he sees into straightforward instruction that quickly improved my lap times and drivability. He’s patient, extremely knowledgeable, and really fun to work with.”
